Types of Financial Aid
- Grant money may be available to you, which does not have to be
paid back.
- You can also apply for a Student Loan. This type of loan is paid
back on a payment plan (after you are out of school) at a low rate
of interest.
- You may also be able to get a scholarship award to help with your
schooling costs. Click here to learn more about scholarship
opportunities.
- Depending upon your personal situation, there are other outlets
for financial aid. For example:
- Veterans may be able to receive education benefits through
the Veteran’s Administration.
- The Washington – Greene Job Training Agency may be able
to assist you.
- Career Link may be able to assist you (Washington County: 724-229-1361;
Greene County: 724-852-2900)
- The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation provides aid and support
services to students with hearing, sight, and other disabilities
and to those with dependency issues.
- The United Mine Workers Association may be able to assist you.
- Check with labor unions, private businesses, and civic clubs
that you and/or your parents have a connection with. Some of them
offer scholarships and other types of aid to students.
